This community offering at Yoga Hawaii Studio is a by-donation class which leads you through an extended Yoga Nidra, or full-body guided meditation of relaxation of body, mind, and spirit, while lying down in savasana (corpse pose). Included in this class will be a few gentle yoga asanas or postures that encourage slow, mindful movements and heart-opening. We will end the class with pranayama (breathing practices) and a brief meditation. The purpose of this community based class is to let go of all stress and come into contact with one's own body, heart, mind and spirit in order to encourage healing and well-being overall. All levels of participants are welcome, and newcomers to yoga are encouraged to experience this form of yoga which focuses primarily on de-stressing and letting go versus "doing" and goal-oriented practice.
Suggested donation is $10, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds! Please present your heart donation in cash to the instructor.
